A Great Interview

A big hellish “thanks” to Cinemassacre for this interview with Brent from Calgary!

This is actually how I found your site and your webseries. I have always been a fan of Brent’s work. And seeing him in a role like this? Even though it’s a webseries. Wooh!

    • Jeegee:

This is exactly how I stumbled across ‘Fresh Hell’.
Check out Brent on you tube doing the recent comic cons. He’s just a naturally dry and witty chap!
Praise the lord for the AVGN and Mike’s love of Trek for guiding me here. May it bring many others.

I just found out about this project thanks to the Cinemassacre interview. I came here and watched all of the episodes in one sitting. They’re addictive. Great job.

Brent, you should do an AMA on Reddit. People love you over there. Just remember to learn the proper etiquette. You don’t want to pull a Rampart.

And about women and cat videos… I convinced my GF to watch TNG by showing her a few videos of Data with his cat Spot. OK, I’ll admit it. I love cats too.

Mr spiner your my hero.I would have probably never known you were doing this project if it wasn’t for my frequent visits to Cinemassacre!

keep up the good work i love your web series!

  • Fin Hennigan:

More of the same, found out about this series through Cinemassacre, been a long time fan of your work. Looking forwards to the next episode.

If you are looking for funding to make longer / more episodes then add a donate button somewhere and i will be happy to put in a few £$’s in!

Perhaps even indie go go yourself and get us a “TV” film :)

  • Hellmatic:

Fantastic web series you have there! Great humour, charmingly quirky characters… thumbs way up for you!

By the way, I wonder what “the incident” was. If you take in account for a lot of Star Trek fans’ opinions, it most likely was Brent Spiner’s involvement in the making of the Star Trek Nemesis script – as many despise it. It would be a very funny self-conscious joke to even hint at this possibility. That is, if “the incident” is ever revealed – leaving it ambiguous for the audience would also be an interesting choice.

Like many, I too found out about this from the Cinemassacre interview. You really should consider doing cross guest appearances in your shows. Brent Spiner showing up as a surprise guest star at the Angry Video Game Nerd movie which is being filmed would be awesome!

To wrap up, keep up the great work. I’m even more of a Brent Spiner fan now than I was before. Dare I say the Fresh Hell series has renewed my faith in Spiner’s ability to write good scripts. ;) Well, actually not, I take that back. This is not good at all. This is amazing, daring and funny!

I think I would shit my pants if there was a Fresh Hell/AVGN cross-over. I think a Nerd cameo in Fresh Hell would work better than if Brent Spiner just randomly appeared in the Nerd basement but I could see it happen strangely. The only problem is the two series are so different that they don’t have any business crossing over but I would still think that it would be the most awesome thing ever.

Maybe Brent Spiner would play the Star Trek NES game, lmao.

I also only found out about this series because of Cinemassacre, I go there every day. I can’t wait for more Fresh Hell and I even started watching some of Brent Spiner’s interviews and panels on youtube and he really is a very funny guy.

It even made me look up a bunch of Data stuff which is also HILARIOUS, Data and Spot are priceless together. I may actually start watching ST:TNG!

Please come out with more Fresh Hell, it’s fantastic. I even started showing other people. They all think the same thing, that the set-up with the characters takes a little too long but they get sucked in all the same by the third or fourth episode.

  • Porcupine_70:

Like a lot of people who’ve commented on this I too found out about this series through the interview.

I also wanted to say how much I enjoyed watching the interview, especially at the end when mike asked you to check out the cinemassacre site and you jokingly said you couldn’t be bothered, loved it.

  • RobotShoes:

Just made it through season 1. I LOVE the screw the mainstream attitude this show has. PERFECT for the times. I can really use the laugh after a hard days work and wrapping my mind around history books and politics and conspiracy theory….KEEP UP THE SHOW GUYS! THANK YOU FOR NEVER GIVING UP BRENT!

  • Whenever I fill out an application, in the part that says “If an emergency, notify:” I put “DOCTOR”. What’s my mother going to do?
